Sour beer lovers shouldn’t miss the next edition of the Arrogant Sour Festival that will take place from June 3 to 5 in Reggio Emilia: the old town centre of the city will become lively for the fourth edition of this event, not only domestic, and its rich programme!

THE INDEPENDENT AND SELF-PRODUCED FESTIVAL

An unmissable event, a unique opportunity to try the best production of Italian and international sour beers. The location remains the same of the last edition: the Chiostri della Ghiara, a prestigious seventeenth-century cloister located in the old town centre of Reggio Emilia. The closing time is absolutely approximate because the festival will close only when the thirst will be over (or kegs will be empty)!
The Arrogant Sour Festival is the largest sour beer festival in Europe with 140 beers rotating in 60 taps, 120 bottled beers, a sour beer shop, restaurants and refreshment stands, live music, guests and forum with tastings. A team of publicans and brewers will rotate behind the taps. To pour the beer and redeem some sinful soul, there must be those who are every day behind a counter, developing a beer culture in their territory and following their own style.

SOUR BEERS, CULINARY TRADITIONS AND ENTERTAINMENT

Reggio Emilia is the home of ancient culinary traditions! It is the town of the Parmigiano Reggiano cheese, the traditional balsamic vinegar and PDO Parma ham. Sour beers are the true protagonists of the festival: there will be a single 40-meter-long counter with 70 taps.
Alongside the excellent beers, the local cuisine will be an essential part of the festival. Small local producers will be present with their stands and part of the menu will be entirely dedicated to local products, both warm (lasagna, ravioli, … ) and cold (ham, cheese, ciccioli – scraps of pork fat – , erbazzone – spinach and cheese pie-)
The festival will host concerts and performances in the evenings, while forum, conferences and tastings will be organized during the rest of the day.
The Arrogant Sour Festival wants to create a network of producers, publicans and customers to raise awareness towards a growing market!
