After the great success gained by the Food Trucks and the new trend emerged from the Quality Street Food, the agency Comunicazione e Organizzazione Food&Wine Giroidea, with the precious help of Gianluca Capedri, the inventor of the University Project “Merenda Italiana”, reproduce in Fontanellato the model of the event: CASTLE STREET FOOD, first stop of the 2016 Tour
ABOUT THE EVENT AND THE LOCATION
The location of the event is Rocca Sanvitale, which is the unique castle, along with the Castello Estense in Ferrara, to preserve the original perimeter moat filled with water. It will be a great show!
Magic place, which is now regular stop for Castle Street Food and its loyal audience. The theme will be linked to Easter and will include many initiatives, news and playful entertainments for all the present.
Under the patronage of the municipality of Fontanellato, the association Associazione Castelli del Ducato di Parma e Piacenza and the Touring Club Italiano, this gastronomic journey will be designed specifically with new Food Trucks. The public will be led to discovering the best on the road realities and visitors will have the opportunity to taste and learn conscientiously.
Besides food, the event will stand out for the variety of its educational activities and entertainment for every type of target: families, children and many young people involved in games, photographic contests and Easter themed designs.
THE FOOD TRUCKS
The scenery is lovely but the real protagonists are the Street Food Operators: the Truckers. They will talk about their entrepreneurial experiences and will make visitors taste their specialties!
Everyone will “dress up” and propose a gastronomic tour designed specifically for Easter: every Food Truck will present a recipe dedicated to this big edition, whether in a salty or sweet version, using high quality ingredients and seasonal foods. A wide range of Street Food, carefully selected, will see as protagonists: artisanal hot dog, hamburger with Chianina and Tuscan boar, fried fish and Abruzzo meat sticks, rice dishes of all kinds, stuffed olives and vegan stuffed olives. But also: the authentic piadina romagnola, vegetarian dishes and gluten intolerant recipes, tigelle and fried bread, cheese&pepper tonnarelli, sweets, cupcake, tiramisu, chickpea farinata, the real Neapolitan pizza, homemade ice cream, crepes, gourmet kebabs, fish sandwiches…
Drinks will be as much as original: craft beer from the brewery Birrificio Carrobiolo and the Italian cola E-cola di Molecola, both official partners of the event as well as Norda water.
