Golosaria 2015, a fair focused on culture and taste, celebrates its 10th edition. With tens of thematic events, more than 300 producers and start-ups, a rendezvous with the Italian quality at its best is getting ready in Milan. From 17 to 19 October, in the city’s core and also part of Expo 2015 agenda, the festival created by Paolo Massobrio and Marco Gatti celebrates the Italian culinary excellence.
The three-day long festival takes place from the 17th to the 19th of October at MiCO- Milan Convention Centre. This is an indoor exhibition centre where 300 producers selected by the best seller “Il Golosario” will showcase their food and wine specialties, as well as their new culinary inventions. More than 40,000 visitors – “Golosi della Vita” (Greedy for Life) – are expected to come to the festival; they could buy products directly on site, while professionals will have the chance to experiment new conditions to make their product offering distinctive.
This year Golosaria’s theme is “La qualità che nutre il futuro” (“Quality feeds the Future”). Starting 15 days before Expo 2015 closure, it is the ideal place for food lovers interested in a better insight of the Italian wine and food scenario, through different thematic areas and the leitmotif of numerous labs and events in agenda.
THE THEMATIC AREAS
For the first time, Golosaria 2015 is not built up only on thematic areas, but suggests also daily themes that help the public in better understanding the different contents, paying specific attention to the Expo main subjects.
On Saturday 17, the festival celebrates the theme “Conservation of the tradition”, while on Sunday 18 it focuses on “Periodicity, start-ups, wastefulness problems and leftovers recycling”. On Monday 19, the last subject and, at the same time, the basis whence to restart: “Territories as a resource”. The eating healthy theme crosses the entire festival.
We suggest a visit to the cooking show area that highlights the home life, focusing on the no-waste food challenge and the use of new technologies.
The suggestive gallery at the entrance hosts the street food area, where to find a wide range of beverages and taste traditional dishes presented in a new method of cooking. The festival will also provide a specific place to talk about the most virtuous start-ups, with a focus on the traditional “Made in Italy”.
