INSTRUCTIONS for 1 jar
• 200g plain biscuits
• 100g confectioners’ sugar
• 50g unsweetened cocoa powder
• 50g dark chocolate
• 50g almonds
Chop your biscuits in medium-sized pieces. Roughly slice the almonds.
Using a blender, mix dark chocolate and cocoa powder until powdery.
Layer the dry ingredients in a jar. If you prefer, mix them all together.
Give to your friends and remember to include a tag with the following instructions.
For the tag:
• 1 egg
• 100g melted butter
Combine the contents of the jar with 150g melted butter and 1 egg.
Form the mixture into a log, about 5-6cm in diameter. Dust with confectioners’ sugar.
Roll up the log in aluminium foil and twist the ends to seal. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
Make your chocolate salami look like a real Italian sausage by tying pieces of string vertically around it before serving.
